About

Founded in 1987, Atelier d'Architectures Champs Elysées (AACHE) is an Architecture studio based in Brussels, Belgium. Embracing a multidisciplinary vision and approach, AACHE is the driving creativity behind some iconic buildings and renovations in Brussels. It has also lent its expertise to significant international projects across the world, spanning Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Our team

Georges Hirsch

Founder of AACHE, Georges is the creative force of the Bureau.  Architect and Urbanist, he has been practicing for almost 40 years. 

 

A thinker and designer, Georges is one of the architects in Belgium that embraced a modernist approach early on. Respecting the old while creating the new is at the heart of his work, as evidenced in many of his landmark projects and renovations.

 

Georges is a graduate of the La Cambre School of Architecture (ENSAAV), and also attended the University of Southern California as a graduate and doctorate student, where he taught several courses in Architecture and Urban planning and design. 

 

He has travelled extensively, and has had the chance to work in an extensive amount of countries including Russia, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia,Ouganda, Equatorial Guinea and Switzerland, France, England and Montenegro.

 

Georges is a member of the Belgium Order of Architects. He speaks French, English, Dutch and Hungarian.

Philippe Deblire

Philippe joined AACHE in 1998, and has been part of the team ever since.

 

A graduate of ISA Saint-Luc Liège, he is a Member of the Belgium Order of Architects. 

 

Philippe focuses on concept design,  and is in charge of projects coordination.

He plays a key role in planning, organization and technical solutions for the studio. He is the resident coordinator for all Security and Health issues, and also oversees energy management (PEB).

 

Philippe speaks French and English.
